You can cancel a Google Play subscription whenever you want to. However, to avoid being charged again, you should cancel the subscription at least 24 hours before the next billing cycle. When you pause a subscription, your subscription pauses at the end of your current billing period.

Some merchants, including Google, will issue a 'test charge' before issuing a final charge. It's a way for them to make sure there are funds to cover the expected expense. These usually go away a day or two by themselves and they might still briefly show up even after you've cancelled your subscription.

Google Play Pass offers hundreds of Android games and apps (close to 1,000 in total). The library boasts many titles that usually cost money, and there are no ads or in-app purchases in any of the included content.

You'll likely be able to use the benefits until the current cycle ends, whereas canceling a free trial usually means you'll lose the benefits immediately.

Google does not provide refunds for most Subscribe with Google purchases unless (1) they are faulty; (2) they do not match their stated benefits on the Subscribe with Google interface; or (3) if you have a Right of Withdrawal as described in the Subscribe with Google Additional Terms of Service.

If you cancel or if your membership ends and you have exceeded your Google Account storage limit during the Offer Period, you may not be able to store new files in Drive, send and receive emails in Gmail or upload photos until you free up space or purchase a Google One membership. In your Google Account, go to Payments & subscriptions. To cancel, pause, or change the subscription, under “Subscriptions,” click Manage subscriptions.

Your account will revert to the free 15GB tier upon canceling your Google One subscription. You won't lose your previously uploaded images and videos, but if you exceed the free storage limit, you won't be able to add new stuff.

Tip: We can only refund active subscriptions, and are unable to refund subscriptions that have already ended. If you return a publication it may be removed from your library and you may not be able to access it. In your Google Account, go to Payments & subscriptions.

Refund policy

Google storage plan purchases are non-refundable. The amount of storage you purchased is yours for the length of the subscription, even if you decide to cancel it.

This means, you won't receive emails on Gmail, your photos won't sync and you won't be able to use Google Drive to share files with friends, family, and colleagues until you renew your subscription.
