One Pieceand Bleachwill go down as two of the most popular anime/manga series in history,althoughthey are extremely different. One deals with pirates who gain superhuman abilities by eating special fruits, and the other focuses on a teenage boy who battles powerful spirits with unique abilities.

Monkey D. Luffy is the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, and he ate a Devil Fruit that turned his body into rubber. He can also use a mysterious power called Haki which gives him armor, the capacity to predict attacks, and the ability to overpower those with weak wills. If Luffy were to ever find himself in theBleachuniverse, there are certainly a few characters he would be able to beat, but there are also some who would be able to take him down.
10 Can Beat: Aizen
Luffy has managed to defeat some pretty powerful opponents in his universe, but none of those villains compare to Aizen –an immortal being who can easily defeat a variety of different Anime heroes.Aizen is a genius, but he also happens to be a master swordsman and manipulator who can use spells at the highest level.
Unfortunately for Luffy, Aizen possesses the power of complete hypnosis, which allows him to take control of all five of his opponent's senses. This means that he can make Luffy attack his own friends and then finish him off when the truth leaves him an emotional wreck.
9 Cannot Beat: Ichigo Kurosaki
Ichigo may beBleach's main protagonist, but even he has lost quite a few fights, and he would definitely lose to Luffy if they ever fought each other. Ichigo possesses immeasurable spiritual power, as well as incredible speed and sword skills, and his main attack is theGetsuga Tenshō-a ranged attack that unleashes the user's spiritual pressure.

Luffy is fast in his own right, and thanks to his Observation Haki, he can dodge any number of sword strikes. He can also dodgeGetsuga Tenshō with Gear Second or Forth.
8 Can Beat:Äs Nödt
The Thousand-Year Blood War Arc introduced fans to a variety of Quincy, and the most terrifying of them all wasÄs Nödt. As a member of the Sternritter,Äs has a special ability that was bestowed upon him by Yhwach, and his ability is known as The Fear.
Luffy is arguably the bravest character inOne Piece, but even he has fears. If Äs hits him with one of his thorns, Luffy will instantly be filled with endless dread that will make him lose all rational thought, and it can also cause his heart to explode. When he unleashes hisVollständig, his ability activates just by making eye contact with his opponent.
7 Cannot Beat: Ikkaku Madarame
Ikkaku Madarame became a Soul Reaper because he wanted to follow Kenpachi Zaraki, and thanks to all of his training, he was able to become one of Soul Society's toughest fighters. In order to beat someone like Luffy, an opponent needs to be more than tough-they need to have a special ability, and this is something that Ikkaku lacks.
Ikkaku's Shikai turns his sword into a detachable spear which is easy to dodge and break with Haki, and his Bankai turns his sword into massive blades that simply increase his stored spiritual pressure. Luffy can smash through this Bankai with any of his forms as long as he uses Armament Haki.
6 Can Beat: Soifon
If she only used her Bankai in a fight against Luffy, Soifon would probably lose, but seeing as she hates using her Bankai because it conflicts with her covert style of attack, Luffy could find himself down after just two hits.

Soifon is one of the fastest characters inBleach, which is why her Shikai is especially deadly. Her Shikai takes the form of a gauntlet with a stinger-like blade on the middle finger, and if she stabs Luffy with the blade once, a mark will appear on that spot, and if she strikes the exact same spot a second time, he will instantly be executed.
5 Cannot Beat: Sajin Komamura
Sajin Komamura is an interesting character.He ended up becoming a powerful Captain who sacrificed everything to save the Soul Society after spending much of his early life as an outcast because of his appearance.
Komamura has insane physical strength, and his Bankai summons a giant armored warrior who possesses incredible destructive force. During the Thriller Bark Arc though, Luffy showed that he is capable of defeating a colossal enemy, and that was before he knew how to use Haki. It also doesn't help that Komamura sustains whatever damage his Bankai receives.
4 Can Beat:Shunsui Kyōraku
Shunsui Kyōraku may have an extremely laid-back and easygoing personality, but by the end of the series, fans learn that he is actually one of Soul Society's most powerful Captains. If Luffy is in range of Shunsui's Shikai, he will be forced to play one of several games, including one which allows individuals to hide in shadows and another where damage is determined by calling out a color on your opponent's body.
Shunsui's Bankai is far worse, though, because if Luffy wounds him, he will receive the same injuries. If Shunsui uses the second stage, black spots will appear on Luffy's body and he will bleed profusely from them. The third stage will drown Luffy, and the final stage will wrap a thread around Luffy's head and blow it off.
3 Cannot Beat: Renji
Renji lucked out with his sword Zabimaru because the two work very well together, but Luffy will be able to take on Renji no matter which Bankai form he decides to use. If he uses his Bankai's main form, Renji will basically throw a massive skeletal snake at Luffy; however, the Straw Hat captain can use Gear Second or Fourth to evade it, or Gear Third to smash it to pieces.
The other two forms of Renji's Bankai make him a melee fighter. Asskilled as Renji is with a blade, itwon't be able to break through Luffy's Armament Haki; in fact, the blade will likely break once it touches Luffy's skin.
2 Can Beat: Mayuri Kurotsuchi
Captain Kurotsuchi is arguably the smartest scientist inBleach,and it will be thanks to his genius-level intellect that he will be able to beat Luffy. Once he sees that Luffy is made of rubber, he will come up with a way to inflict mortal damage very quickly, and even if he doesn't he can always rely on his sword, which he augmented himself.

If Kurotsuchi stabs Luffy with his Shikai, Luffy will become completely paralyzed in that area-but he will still be able to feel pain. Kurotsuchi's Bankai is even more formidable because it releases a poison that is powerful enough to deconstruct an individual's body.
1 Cannot Beat: Chad
Chad is one of Ichigo's closest friends, and he is arguably the best fist-fighter in the series. He possesses a power known as Fullbring, and it is the reason why his right arm becomes a red shield which grants him greater endurance and durability, especially against relentless attacks.
On the other hand, Chad's left arm is white, and at full power, his punches can destroy an opponent. His shield won't help him against Luffy though, especially if he uses his Snake Man form to re-direct his fists mid-attack. Seeing as Chad doesn't use Haki, his punches won't do much against Luffy's rubber body.
